T O P I C R E V I E Wmirage29Stranger's Song--Swami KriyanandaI've passed my life as a stranger, Lord,Roamed far and foreign landsFar, Lord, far, too far.Only he who knows he's far from HomeOnly he, Lord, understandsOnly he who knows he's far from HomeFeels the earth and understands.Sometimes a stranger did take me inThen love, I thought, was near.Love, Lord, where is love?As the winds upon the desert sandsWhisper "Home," then disappearAs soft winds breathe on the desert sandsSo love sighs, then disappears.Sometimes a child laughed and I did pauseAnd dreamed of joys at homeJoy is, Lord, only a dream. For what joy is there without Your smileEmpty like the ocean foamFor what joy is there without Your smileYou're the sea, all else is foam. How long must I be a wanderer Lord? You know where I belongYou know, Yes, Lord, You know.Home is where my Lord's sweet Presence isI've grown tired of stranger's songsHome is where my Lord's sweet Presence isBless me that I hear Your songs. mirage29^ This is the other poem song I wrote down the words to, from a cassette I had in 1979.http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/003061.html Song of the Soul, Kriyananda AyeletYet there is no foam without the sea...Can the wanderer see it without consider himself drowned?mirage29Wow... Your view always sooo deep, Ayelet PearltyLove your treasures you've kept such as this. mirage29Yes, I've lived my life with a lot of internal and external intensity. I have writings of my own, and notes from journeys of others, that I'm afraid I'll be having to shred because life overwhelms me now... It's like death, a death. Seeing myself die before I die. It's not poetic beauty. The hardcore reality of physical losses, as you go through them, never is.How rare and Beautiful when you can see the results of your contributions before they get labeled 'posthumous', eh? (I don't think they're talking about the middle-eastern humus sandwich there either... O, don't mind my humor today.)How much Beauty in others has died and been buried without its ever having been discovered and expressed, even posthumously?I've had some crumbs of my life shown in some of my stories. It gives me an appreciation for Poets much more than I ever had. How RICH their contributions are to this world, to be able to put into words the sense of a moment or piece of Life-lived.But then too, it takes someone poetic to be able to really appreciate another. Takes one to know one. So I guess it turns into a mutual-admiration and appreciation party. How incredibly shallow and crusty and unawares persons are, in general, of the inner life that is available for them to access. It's all around them, and it is brought to an Open reality by the expressed word of a Poet's Heart. That's why it's soooo important to keep the Arts in Education. They can keep life more bearable in a God-forsaking harsh world.{{Hugging and deeply appreciating my Inspirational Beautiful-Souls here, today. And thank you to all Teachers and Mentors who release Gifts by their introducing us, baptizing us LOL, into the Soul-nurturing world of Arts. ... }}(note: autocorrect is maddening-- I like it, then when it inserts a letter and changes the meaning of a sentence or the grammar? well sheesh!!! LOL)SeimeiNice poem, nice post. Its' only the 26th,But want to say Happy New Year 2016------------------LeekingCheemirage29Bless you, Seimei! {{ }} Thank you for your greeting!
